Welcome to Wheels & Tales (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service govern your use of our digital platform, our interactive bridges, and the operational services of our traveling archival studio. By using our website, sharing motoring narratives, or utilizing our physical digitisation services, you enter a binding agreement subject to the terms detailed below.
1. The Curation Framework & Integrity of Use
Wheels & Tales is a specialized archive dedicated to the preservation and physical celebration of classic automotive memories. You agree to interact with our platform in a lawful, dignified manner. We strictly prohibit:
- Submitting historical materials, photographs, or recordings that do not belong to you or for which you do not hold explicit family or caretaker authorization.
- Utilizing our digital interfaces, submission forms, or communication bridges to distribute malicious, fraudulent, or unrelated retail material.
- Automated parsing, scraping, or harvesting of archived community stories from The Chronicle for commercial software optimization or third-party datasets.
2. Intellectual Property & Community Licences
Our relationship with our community rests on absolute respect for historical provenance. Intellectual property rights are structured as follows:
A. Wheels & Tales Content
The unique editorial prose, custom brand tokens, interface code, styling scripts, and original graphics are the exclusive property of Wheels & Tales. You are welcome to share live links to our curated profiles and articles, provided it is done for non-commercial celebration of classic car heritage.
B. User Submissions & Family Archives
When you submit stories, photographs, logbooks, or spoken voice elements (“Submissions”) to our project:
- Ownership Stays Yours: You retain the copyright and title over your family records and personal automotive media.
- Archival Licence: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to preserve, adapt (solely for layout, sound filtering, or scaling optimization), and display your submission inside public spaces like The Chronicle.
- Right of Retraction: You can choose to recall a submission at any time. Upon verified written request from the caretaker, we will permanently remove those specific traces from our web servers.
3. The Digital Bridge: Analogue Custody Rules
When you utilize our physical scanning and digitisation services for fragile materials (slides, glass plates, vintage photograph prints, negatives, or old documents), a strict curatorial relationship is established:
- Safe Handling: We handle all physical materials with clinical, archival custody inside secure files. However, due to the natural chemistry, decay, and brittleness of vintage paper and photographic emulsions, we are not liable for unavoidable natural degradation during scanning.
- Transportation Risk: We strongly recommend secure, tracked delivery or personal studio handovers when transferring high-value irreplaceable family assets. We are not responsible for packages damaged or lost by external postal networks or commercial couriers.
4. The Tangible Bridge & Craft of Remembrance
When we process requests to transform your visual archives into premium physical companions (custom frames, ceramics, apparel, or specialized canvases), a deeply personal craft is established:
- Personalized Consultations: Our craft prioritizes the storyteller over corporate speed. Every project begins with a personal conversation via email, WhatsApp, or phone to confirm exact placement, finishes, and custom layouts before a single drop of ink is set.
- Bespoke Variance: Because each piece is individual and hand-finished, variations in fabric texture, color saturation on non-textile mediums, and grain alignment are natural markers of a custom craft, not defects. We create these everyday companions to carry an old soul, celebrating their handmade character.
- No Returns on Custom Pieces: Since your keepsakes are completely tailored to your personal family history, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds once production has been approved and executed, unless the item suffers a structural manufacturing defect.
5. The Limitation of Mechanical Liability
We build our digital platform and physical infrastructure on a highly stable framework. However, we provide our website and archival database on an “as is” and “as available” model. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted server connectivity or absolute freedom from minor technical bugs. To the maximum extent permitted under Irish common law, Wheels & Tales is not legally liable for indirect losses, data disruptions, or unexpected downtime.
6. Governing Jurisdiction
Wheels & Tales operates as an Irish cultural project. These Terms, along with all associated physical custody handshakes, are governed explicitly by the laws of Ireland. Any legal disputes or structural claims arising from our platform or custom crafting processes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
